RedKings Goes French with Start of Summer League of Poker

RedKings has announced the start of the Summer French League of Poker, with over $10,000 in cash and prizes, culminating in the crowning of the July RedKings French King/Queen of Poker.
Launching on July 1st the league continues RedKings’ French language site’s growth and expansion in the French speaking market.
A company spokesman said: "France is a nation full of good Poker players and we aim to provide them with an exciting new alternative for playing poker online. RedKings is one of the fastest growing online poker rooms in Europe and the League will help cement our position in France and all French speaking communities around the world."
The poker league will see a series of freerolls with players fighting it out for a selection of prizes including amongst others an Apple iPod, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Samsung mobile phone, Fuji digital camera, as well as buy-ins to online tournaments.
Week 1 begins with a $500 freeroll tournament with league points allocated to the top 25 finishers. Week 2 sees two more $5 buy-in tournaments with the top 25 finishers in each of these tournaments receiving double league points.
Week 3 starts with one final $5 buy-in tournament and then finishes up with a $1,000 freeroll for all players who have played at least two of the league’s tournaments. Each of the tournaments in the final week will award triple league points.
RedKings’ spokesman added "This League is just the start of our French focus for the remainder of 2008. Our plans for bigger and better tournaments will be rolled out later in the year and we fully expect our existing total monthly tournament guarantees of $15 million to be exceeded."
