Nick Ceci Winner of the Bayou Poker Challenge WSOP Circuit Event

Nick Ceci has won the Bayou Poker Challenge after a tough 126-hand heads-up battle with runner up Timothy Miles, who took home $382,928 for his first place.
Ceci made a great comeback having slipped down to just 1,300 chips with 20 minutes remaining in Day 1 of the 3 day event.
It took just 49 hands of play to eliminate the first seven people at the final table, before embarking on the 126-hand heads-up marathon to decide the winner of the tournament at Harrah’s in New Orleans.
Earlier losers in the tournament included poker legend T.J. Cloutier, as well as Gavin Smith, Josh Arieh, Sabyl Cohen, Bill Edler and the runner up of the WSOP 2005, Steve Dannenmann.
Last year’s winner, Lou Esposito, also made a strong showing in this year’s tournament, reaching the final table and finishing 6th to take a prize of $59,833.
