Mike Matusow has won his third WSOP bracelet in the $5,000 No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball w/ReBuys event. His last success was way back in 2002 but Matusow also made the 2005 WSOP main event final table before finishing in 9th place.

The final table featured some of the biggest poker pro’s in the game, including 2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider, WSOP bracelet winner Jeffrey Lisandro, 2008 WSOP Event 4 winner Erick Lindgen, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Barry Greenstein, and 2005 WPT Battle of Champions winner David Benyamine. Combined the players have eight WSOP bracelets, seven WPT titles and well over $25 million in prize money.

Erick Lindren was the chip leader as the players took their place at the final table. It wasn’t long until the first elimination, David Benyamine getting all his chips in early. Unfortunately for him, Lindgren had more than enough to cover and knocked him out. Lindgren then got rid off Tony Guoga, before Matusow saw off Tom Schneider.

After dominating much of the early play, Erick Lindgren got himself in trouble against Matusow and that was the end of his participation in this event. Barry Greenstein, ironically also the author of Ace On the River, fell to Jeffrey Lisandro’s ace, to leave heads-up between Matusow and Lisandro.

At the end though, it was to be Mike Matusow’s day. After a dominating display at the final table, he bested Lisandro, who misses out on his second WSOP bracelet, to take home the $537,862 top prize and his third golden bracelet.

Final Standings:

Mike Matusow - $537,862
Jeffrey Lisandro - $347,004
Barry Greenstein - $225,552
Erick Lindgren - $156,151
Tom Schneider - $104,101
Tony Guoga - $78,075
David Benyamine - $58,990
