‘Double or Nothing’ Tournament Format A Success for Ongame Network
July 21st, 2008
A new tournament has been creating a stir on the Ongame Network with over 100,000 players taking part since its release early last week. The new game ‘Double or Nothing’ has been created from an idea that originated from a player on the Ongame network.
Through Ongame’s Ombudsman function, a player recently suggested a new format for a Sit & Go poker tournament which the Ongame Network has now created. In a ten-seat Sit & Go tournament, generally the buy-ins contribute to the prize pool which is then distributed to the top three finishers.
However, the new ‘Double or Nothing’ format allows for the top five players to win, with each player receiving double their buy-in as their prize, while the five remaining losing players get nothing. This new tournament format provides a new opportunity for players to earn money quickly and in a short period of time.
Since the release of the new tournament format last week, more than 100,000 players have taken part in the ‘Double or Nothing’ format, with over 100 games per hour taking place at its peak on the Ongame Network. The new format is proving to be a huge success so far.
The ‘Double or Nothing’ tournament is running on the Ongame network 24/7 and available at all levels from $2+0.2 to $100+8. The tournament is available to all partners and their players on the Ongame Network and is fast becoming one of the new favorites for poker players alike all over the world.
