Barry Greenstein Wins Third WSOP Bracelet in 2008 WSOP Razz Event

Barry Greenstein has won his third WSOP bracelet after claiming the $1,500 Seven Card Razz Event #26. This is Barry Greenstein’s third cash in this year’s WSOP as well as his second final table. He takes home $157,619 for his first place finish giving the poker pro over $6 million in career earnings.

At the start of the final day’s action Chris Viox held the chip lead ahead of Barry Greenstein:

Seat 3 - Archie Karas - 113,000
Seat 4 - Brandon Leeds - 206,500
Seat 5 - Chris Klodnicki - 105,000
Seat 6 - Mike Wattel - 74,000
Seat 7 - Mark Tenner - 108,500
Seat 8 - Barry Greenstein - 243,000

Mike Wattel, with one WSOP bracelet to his name, was first to be eliminated, falling short against Chris Viox. Next to go was Archie Karas, nicknamed ‘The Greek’ who has won and lost an estimated $40 million according to legend, followed by Joseph Michael.

Brandon Leeds was then outdone by Chris Viox, before Mark Tenner was sent home by Chris Klodnicki to leave just three players standing. Chris Viox was then eliminated in 3rd place to leave heads-up between Greenstein and Klodnicki.

Greenstein had a substantial chip lead and held onto it as he finally saw off the challenge of Klodnicki. Barry Greenstein takes home $157,619 but more importantly collects his third WSOP bracelet.
