Andrew Brown Wins First Golden Bracelet at WSOP

After a tension filled heads-up battle, Andrew Brown has defeated seasoned poker pro Ted Forrest to win the $2,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better Event 16. The 25 year old captured his first major title and $226,483 to go with the golden bracelet.
After a long second day’s play 18 players returned for the final day, as the final table was unable to be set. Soheil Shamseddin held the chip lead over Andrew Brown and Scott Clements at the start of the action.
With the eliminations of nine players including Ralph Rudd and Lee Grove, the final table was set.

Jimmy Fricke was the first out, unable to cope with Andrew Brown, while Allan Enciso was next to be eliminated at the hands of Ted Forrest. Scott Clements was out next, another victim of Andrew Brown, who then got rid of Ralph Perry.
Kia Hooshmand was out to Ted Forrest followed by Soheil Shamseddin, and when Jim Pechac was out in 3rd place, heads-up between Forrest and Brown began. Brown began to dominate the final, with Forrest at one point down to 150,000 chips. He then fought back however to regain the chip lead until finally the two players were all-in. In the end it was Andrew Brown who would win the title.
