2008 WSOP $10,000 World Championship Main Event - Day1c Update

Play continues at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas as the 2008 WSOP Main Event begins to warm up. A further 1,928 players took to the tables for the third of four Day 1’s to be concluded before the second round commences. The total tally of players registered so far now stands at 4,383.
Among the many in action on Day 1c were J.C Tran, David Sklansky, Isabelle Mercier, Archie ‘The Greek’ Karas, Bertrand Grospellier, Sorel Mizzi, Scott Seiver, Justin Bonomo, Gavin Griffin, Chad Batista,
Huck Seed was one of the first to be eliminated, his triple sevens matched by Chris Miranda but who also held ace high. Scott Seiver was also knocked out by a straight, while Max Pescatori succumbed to Matt Hawrilenko’s two pair. Gavin Griffin’s pocket sixes weren’t enough to keep him in the event, while also out were Mike Sexton, Chad Batista, Jesper Hougaard, Jeff Lisandro, and TJ Cloutier.
By the end of Day 1c’s play a total of 1,026 players had made it through, with Norway’s Henning Granstad leading the way:
