The first of the three events that players who won Side Event packages got to take part in was the $1,500 pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo event which went underway this Tuesday. Although Pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo offers a real challenge to most players, one quickly made his mark - BestPoker.com’s piggypop.
The guy who won two side events packages over the course of the WSOP program satellites survived day one and kept making progress on day two. He ended up busting just inside the top 50 out of 720 entrants and cashed for more than $3,000.
The next event, the $5,000 No Limit short-handed event commences tomorrow.
