Ongame Network steals the show at EiG
September 24th, 2008Todays poker tournament final turned out to be the success we anticipated. Starting off with quite a trembling beginning was the six finalists took it relatively easy and didn’t do too much, the game soon turned into an all-in madness.
The steep blind structure and the pressure of having basically everyone in the expo hall watching three players were eliminated within a 15 minutes period. And it didn’t take long until one more player had to see the chipstack go away, leaving two very happy players heads up. After an intense battle we could finally crown the winner, Martin Phillips, a business analyst for bwin, with an equally happy Stefan Mahlstein, CEO of PokerLoco, finishing second.
Final results:
- Mattias Phillips - iPod Touch 32 GB
- Stefan Mahlstein - Exclusive football tickets to A.C Milan vs F.C Napoli
- Mary Blomkvist - PSP
- Jay Schwartz - iPod Nano 8 GB
- Camilo Vercesi - Moët Chandon
- Kfir Chervinski - Samsonite Black Label computer bag
We congratulate the winners, and would like to once again point out that basically e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e in the expo hall was watching the final. Almost every other stand stood empty, while Ongame Network stole the show. A very proud moment, indeed.
